MY RESEARCH EXPERIENCE IN TAIWAN

Study in Taiwan is challenged me to study hard, because NTOU has famous reputation especially for my field of study, aquaculture. I am joining Aquaculture Biotechnology laboratory. My reason why I am chose this laboratory, because biotechnology is making big chance for aquaculture production in the future.
I have good vision and generous adviser. I am take two his class and one class is actually for local student with Chinese language. But, because of me in that class my adviser using English and Chinese. Both class is good because open for discussion about aquaculture and basic science about genetic. And from my adviser vision, I am already known a new paradigm about nutrigenomics and immune related gene for aquaculture. Finally, I have my own research about innate immunity on hump back grouper fish. This grouper is original species from my country and have an expensive price for trade commodities in the world. And first problem coming, I can’t get hump back grouper for mRNA sample because difficult and very expensive price in Taiwan. But, with helping many persons, from my adviser colleges, I have my grouper fish. My advisor only sad “You are very lucky”.
Aquaculture biotechnology laboratory is small laboratory but rich with idea and has many research topics. This laboratory also has good management and competition atmosphere. We have special time for seminar about our research progress.
My laboratory mate is kindly friend. Even though sometimes we stuck in our communication because I am used English, my friends can’t understand some word and sometimes I must talk slowly. Same with me, if they used Chinese, I can’t understand what they talking about, and I asking again and again. We share everything, making joke and indirectly I am studying about Chinese culture from them. And I have conclusion my laboratory mate also good listener.
At three months, I am doing my research; I am got lot of helping from my friend for my research. This help make me fast adapted about using equipment and methods for work.
Last, I also like worked culture in my laboratory, my friends always work hard. This like pheromone for me to work hard, more and more I am study aquaculture biotechnology, I am feeling don't know anything.
